Hans Wehr (Arabic Almanac) 3.1

The Hans Wehr app serves as a digital rendition of the renowned Arabic-English Hans Wehr dictionary. Users can efficiently search the dictionary by entering the root letters of a word, which will immediately display the corresponding entry.

Designed to support students of the Arabic language, this app simplifies the study process by eliminating the need to carry a physical dictionary. Instead, it offers the extensive information found in the original text right at the fingertips of its users.

Search functionality is flexible; users can utilize an Arabic keyboard or opt for Roman (English) letters that correspond to Arabic sounds. By entering the root letters and selecting search, navigation through the entries is streamlined, allowing users to swipe left and right to explore different pages (for more details, consult the About section in the app).

To utilize offline mode, users should visit the Settings page and download the appropriate files. The app includes convenient features for accessing verb forms and converting Roman letters to Arabic. Should users encounter issues with app crashes while enabling offline mode, it is advisable to uninstall and reinstall the latest version, which addresses these concerns.

Currently, only the Hans Wehr (Arabic-English) dictionary is available; however, there are plans in development for additional dictionaries in future updates.
